Procedures for Ordering - Payment Options - Shipping Options

These instructions apply only to orders to be delivered within the United States of America. For orders to be delivered outside the USA, see our Procedures for International Orders.

Procedures for Ordering:

Order by Online Shopping Cart (payment by BidPay, PayPal, check, or money order):

The easiest, fastest way to find and order our merchandise is to use our new Online Shopping Cart system, then make your payment by credit card using BidPay or PayPal (we do not accept credit cards directly, only through these two services), or by printing out the order summary and mailing it to us with your check or money order. If you are unfamiliar with online shopping cart systems, you may wish to print this page to have it handy for reference. Here are the steps for this method (note: these instructions for domestic/USA customers are slightly different from the instructions for international customers):

  1. Browse through our merchandise looking for items that you want to order. You can do this by viewing the product lists for Wings Models (including Eagles Talon), AirModel, Execuform, or Other Model Companies; or by using our Search Page. Whenever you see an item that you want, you can add it to your Shopping Cart (don't worry, you can remove items later if you change your mind). After each item that you add to your shopping cart, you will be given the choice to "Continue Shopping" (going back to where you were when you added that item) or "Checkout Now" (finalizing your order and arranging payment).
  2. When you are finished shopping, click a "View Shopping Cart" link (unless you are already on the Shopping Cart page). These "View Shopping Cart" links are located near the top and bottom of most pages on our website. Now is the time to examine the items that you have in your Shopping Cart and decide whether you want to remove any of them or change any of the quantities. You can make these changes using the Change Quantity boxes at the end of each item line in the shopping cart. (Don't worry about the sales tax figure, that is only for residents of the state of Missouri.) When you are satisfied with the items in your Shopping Cart and ready to proceed to payment, click the link to "Checkout".
  3. You will first be asked to select a shipping destination, zip code, and shipping method. Your destination country should be the United States; if not, then you should be reading the instructions for international customers. The automated calculation of shipping and handling charges by our shopping cart system assumes shipment by our standard USPS Priority Mail; for other shipping options, see below.
  4. You will next be asked if the order will be shipping to Missouri, USA; this question is because we are required to charge sales tax for orders shipped within the state of Missouri.
  5. You will next be asked to choose a method of payment:
     
    If you want to pay with BidPay:
    1. Click the link to "Order by Check/Money Order through Postal Mail"
    2. Scroll down to the Special Instructions text box and type a note that you intend to pay with BidPay, so that we can set aside your order to await the confirmation from BidPay.
    3. Scroll down further to fill in the the text boxes for your Name, Email Address, Shipping Address, etc. Please be especially careful in typing your email address, so that we can confirm your order and contact you if necessary!
    4. Click the "Submit Order" button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to a page summarizing your order, and will send us an email copy of your order. You should print a copy of this page for yourself, but you do not need to mail it to us.
    5. Go to the BidPay website to complete your payment. Our account at BidPay is wings@donsmodelworks.com. When we receive payment confirmation from BidPay, we will send you a confirmation email and ship your order.
    6. That's it, you're finished!
     
    If you want to pay with PayPal:
    1. Click the link to "Order by PayPal Online"
    2. Scroll down to fill in the the text boxes for your Name, Email Address, Shipping Address, etc. Please be especially careful in typing your email address, so that we can confirm your order and contact you if necessary!
    3. Click the "Submit Order" button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the PayPal website to complete your payment, and will send us an email copy of your order. When we receive payment confirmation from PayPal, we will send you a confirmation email and ship your order.
    4. That's it, you're finished!
     
    If you want to pay with a check or money order:
    1. Click the link to "Order by Check/Money Order through Postal Mail"
    2. Scroll down to fill in the the text boxes for your Name, Email Address, Shipping Address, etc. Please be especially careful in typing your email address, so that we can contact you if necessary!
    3. Click the "Submit Order" button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to a page summarizing your order. PRINT OUT A COPY OF THIS ORDER SUMMARY PAGE and mail it to us along with your check or money order. When we receive your order with payment, we will ship your order.
    4. That's it, you're finished!
  6. When filling in the text boxes for any of the above ordering methods, please be especially careful in typing your email address, so that we can confirm your order and contact you if necessary! If for some reason you cannot fill in a telephone number, please type it as 555-555-5555 so that we know that it is not a real telephone number (the automated system won't allow it to be left blank). You should also print a copy of your order summary page for reference, then if you don't receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours, you should double-check your printed copy to make sure that you entered your email address correctly! (Note that we do not send confirmation emails if you are paying by check or money order.)

Order by Email (payment by BidPay or PayPal):

The easiest way to do this is by using our Online Shopping Cart. However, if for some reason you are unable to use the Shopping Cart or do not wish to use the Shopping Cart, you can email us with your name, shipping address, and a list of the items you want. We will send you a reply email confirming items in stock, quoting the shipping and handling charges, and giving instructions for payment.

Order by Regular Mail (payment by check or money order):

If you are paying by check or money order, you will need to mail us your order along with your payment. You can use our Online Shopping Cart to produce a printable Order Summary, or print out an Order Form (available in printer-friendly HTML format or Adobe Acrobat PDF format). Payment Options:

BidPay is an online service that allows you to make payment by credit card, and then BidPay will notify us of the payment and send us a money order by mail. Our BidPay account is wings@donsmodelworks.com. BidPay changed its name for awhile to AuctionPayments, but has now returned to the original name. The service is oriented toward payments for online auction services such as eBay, but can also be used for private transaction payments - just select Other instead of an auction service when filling out the payment form. For more information about BidPay, you can visit the BidPay website at www.bidpay.com.

PayPal is another online service that allows you to make payment by credit card, and then PayPal will put the payment in our account. Our PayPal account is wings@donsmodelworks.com. If you want to pay by PayPal, we can send you an invoice through their automated system that will simplify your payment by filling in all of the necessary amounts for you. For more information about PayPal, you can visit the PayPal website at www.paypal.com.

Check or Money Order: must be payable in US dollars, to Wings Models, LLC. You can mail it to us along with your order.

Shipment Options:

Our Online Shopping Cart system is able to calculate shipping and handling charges quite accurately, from the weight of your order. These charges are based on our preferred shipping method for USA/APO/FPO addresses, by U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. We can ship by UPS or other shipping methods if you prefer, but the charges will generally be higher; please contact us for determination of the shipping and handling charges for other shipping methods.

Decal Shipping: One item that our Online Shopping Cart system does not handle very well is decals, because of the way it allows for the weight of the shipping carton. For this reason we have a special shipping method set up for decals only, with a modified calculation to offset the overestimation of carton weight. Use the special decal rates for First Class or Priority Mail only when your order is all decals - if you have model kits in your order the standard Priority Mail rate calculation is the one to use, as the added weight of the decals will be negligible.
